Roughly a decade ago, Kevin Reim searched for an investment that he could grow into a family business and someday pass on to his children. He found it, and, in 2000, became the owner of Redtail Equipment Rental.

Making its fourth consecutive appearance in the Bryan Rotary Club/Newman 10 Business Performance Awards, Redtail Equipment Rental rents, sells, and services equipment for home owners and contractors.

The company started small-literally, based out of Reim's home. But by focusing on building the trust of his customers, Reim has been able to sustain Redtail Equipment Rental's continued growth. In addition to moving into its customized new building two years ago, Redtail Equipment Rental has also expanded its retail lines and rental fleet and added two employees to its staff.

Reim credits his company's success and continued growth to hiring good employees and building a loyal customer base that brings repeat business.

"Everything flows better," says Reim. "I'm able to spend more time with customers, and continue to focus on their loyalty."

Reim admits that every day brings new challenges, but one thing has never changed: a hard work ethic that puts the customer's satisfaction first. Future plans include more growth, by adding a store in another city.

"We listen to what our customers want and provide the best service possible."
